FMM President Leads Mission to Beijing, China in Conjunction with the
4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) 2026 from June 21-24, 2026
FMM President, Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, led a mission comprising 21 representatives from 15 companies across various industries to participate in the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) 2026, held from June 21–24, 2026 in Beijing, China. The mission was also joined by FMM President Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Soh Thian Lai and FMM Council Members.
Organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), CISCE is a premier international exhibition dedicated to promoting global supply chain resilience, connectivity and cooperation. The expo brought together government leaders, multinational corporations and industry players from around the world to explore opportunities in advanced manufacturing, digital transformation, green development and international supply chain collaboration.
During the mission, the key FMM representatives were invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 4th CISCE, which was graced by Mr Ding Xuexiang, Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China, together with senior government officials, business leaders and representatives from international organisations. The ceremony underscored China’s commitment to fostering an open, connected and resilient global supply chain ecosystem.
As part of the programme, the FMM delegation also attended a Networking Dinner hosted by FMM, which was attended by Mr Unny Sankar Ravi Sankar, Minister of Economic Affairs and Ms Muanati Afzan Mohammad, Counsellor (Economic), Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing. The dinner provided an excellent platform for delegates to exchange views on the latest economic developments and opportunities to further strengthen Malaysia-China trade and investment relations.
The delegation also visited Yonyou Industrial Park in Beijing, where delegates gained insights into Yonyou’s digital transformation initiatives and innovative solutions in enterprise software, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing, as well as the applications of these technologies in enhancing industrial competitiveness and supply chain efficiency.
The mission reaffirmed FMM’s commitment to strengthening international business linkages and creating opportunities for Malaysian manufacturers to expand strategic partnerships, gain market insights and enhance their participation in global supply chains.
